ECOALITION
As part of our vision to create a more sustainable community, the Highland Eco-Team is connecting with neighboring schools and environmental groups in order to create a force focused on positive planetary change. This “Ecoalition” will provide students and activists the opportunity to share resources and facilitate communication.
Having become environmental leaders in our school district, this coalition would allow the Highland Eco-Team the liberty to visit other schools in order to educate and implement waste and energy reduction programs. The inclusion of community businesses and educational services would equip students with the tools necessary to successfully manage their waste.
Spreading the practice of environmental conservation through our community is only the first step in our mission to achieve a global identity driven by a sense of stewardship and responsibility.
